As previously stated in our “Business Aviation Trends in 2017” article, Business Aviation is rapidly recovering and the number of flights is dramatically increasing. This trend is seen for the 5th consecutive month and is expected to last till 2020. As the small jets are getting certified more and more for IFR conditions, we can expect this recovery to pace in the forthcoming years. Another key contribution to this recovery is the rapid decline in the gas prices resulting a huge cost reduction in the operations.
The North America is maintaining its leader position as the estimate contribution to the economies are relatively 4 billion $ for North America general aviation operations to 150 million Euros for Europe. In 2017, we keep seeing the consolidation of the aircraft types. The long range and small jets are increasing in numbers while the mid-size aircrafts are disappearing each day.
